Just Couldn't Put it July Down Giveaway Hop

Amazon's Synopsis:

It began on New Year’s Eve.
The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed―and more than half of the world’s population was decimated.
Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place. Some of it is good, like the witchcraft worked by Lana Bingham, practicing in the loft apartment she shares with her lover, Max. Some of it is unimaginably evil, and it can lurk anywhere, around a corner, in fetid tunnels beneath the river―or in the ones you know and love the most.
As word spreads that neither the immune nor the gifted are safe from the authorities who patrol the ravaged streets, and with nothing left to count on but each other, Lana and Max make their way out of a wrecked New York City. At the same time, other travelers are heading west too, into a new frontier. Chuck, a tech genius trying to hack his way through a world gone offline. Arlys, a journalist who has lost her audience but uses pen and paper to record the truth. Fred, her young colleague, possessed of burgeoning abilities and an optimism that seems out of place in this bleak landscape. And Rachel and Jonah, a resourceful doctor and a paramedic who fend off despair with their determination to keep a young mother and three infants in their care alive.
In a world of survivors where every stranger encountered could be either a savage or a savior, none of them knows exactly where they are heading, or why. But a purpose awaits them that will shape their lives and the lives of all those who remain.
The end has come. The beginning comes next.

My thoughts:

So far this is very interesting. I grabbed it because it had over 2400 reviews, with 75% being 5 stars.

#101 in Dystopian
#155 in Supernatural
#158 in Post-Apocalyptic

Of course I'm a Book Cover lover and this book cover does nothing for me.  I based my purchase on the reveals, the synopsis and the ratings.

I'm not quite finished with it but I haven't been able to put it down without reluctance.

With having several writing projects due of my own, I don't have as much spare time reading all the books I want too.

It's always good to take the time to read a few chapters at the end of the night to help me relax after a long day.

Be sure to catch up on the giveaways going on at the Current Giveaways.

I have more giveaways coming throughout the month so be sure to sign up for my blog via email.  This is listed as one of the entries below.

And be sure to check out the Blog Hop Sign-ups here if you want to sign up for future hops.

Vendor Event Sign-ups

Vendor Event

Sign-ups

This is a month long event. A special Facebook group will be provided and it is encouraged to have your current group/page participate.

This is in no way affiliated with Facebook or other Social Media platforms.

One Rep per company is allowed per each event. There will be several events managed throughout the next several months, so you will definitely get a chance to participate should your company spot be taken on a current event.

I’ve been a blogger for several years and have been involved in Direct Sales since last August.

I decided to emerge the two together. I’ve grown my Social Media platforms along with increasing engagement because of this.

Here is the Event suggestions & requirements:

1) $10 per spot on the rafflecopter.
Why $10? It takes time to set up Event, posts, giveaway entries and advertising. I will also help with keeping people engaged by hosting trivia/raffle or giveaways for this event.

What is a rafflecopter?  This is an actual giveaway entry system that allows future prospects to enter the giveaway by completing a “task”

What is a task?
A task can either be follow you on Instagram, Twitter, sign-up for your newsletter, visit your group or Facebook page, etc... (Due to restrictions with Facebook, it cannot be a requirement to “like” or “join” a page or group, however by offering a “giveaway item” as an incentive, it is more likely to get people to do just that on their own.

2) Can I sign up for more than 1 spot?
Yes, I would highly recommend that especially if you want to use a Facebook Group/Page as an option. $5 for each additional spot. (2 spots = $15, 3 spots = $20 etc...)

3) Must I have a giveaway during this Vendor Event?
It is not required in order to participate in this Vendor event, however, I would highly recommend it. Not only will it help motivate and entice people to participate and engage in your group/page, but it can even be small ticket items like samples.

4) What is in it for you?
I will be doing a giveaway for my participating vendors. There will be one winner per each event.

The prize? It will be a Blog feature of you and your company/products that will get pinned for 30 days as well as sporadically shared on different Social Media sites. (I have over 12000 followers over my different Social Media Platforms.) This could be huge for you. This is an opportunity to gain even more prospects for an additional 30 days after your 30 day Vendor Event. (No guaranteed results.)

5) What can you expect with this vendor event?
I will have trivia and small giveaways to help keep engagement for this Vendor Event.  This will be in hopes to keep people watching the events going on in the special assigned group. It is encouraged for you to invite your current group followers to this special group.

You will be allowed to post once-a-day in the group. It could be a live, (scheduled with me a head of time) or a post.

Again, it is encouraged for you to offer the Vendor Event to current members.

I will also offer an Amazon gift card (with amount to be determined) as the giveaway prize for the vendor event. One lucky winner of this event will be picked.

Sign-up and pay today.  I will once payment is paid and will require you to email me all the information needed for this Event & Giveaway.

#UnforgettableLove – Elizabeth Johns & Giveaway

Moon and Stars by Elizabeth Johns
Lady Charlotte Stanton was officially on the shelf. Her first offer to be a chaperone had sealed her fate at the advanced age of eight-and-twenty. Yet, one magical evening a mysterious gentleman took pity on her and danced with her clandestinely under the stars. He refused to tell her who he was—other than unsuitable. It has ruined her peaceful existence as an aging spinster.
Sir David Douglas, known to many as Captain Deuce the infamous smuggler, regardless of having changed his ways and made his fortune away in the Indies. His past was destined to follow him forever. Despite helping bring down a high level smuggling ring, the King wants him to do more to earn his pardon. Reluctantly, he is forced back into the dark trade of smuggling once again.
As Sir David struggles to gain his freedom, Lady Charlotte tries to unravel his mystery and help him. But will she find her happily ever after or will she be caught up in the sins of his past?

“Sometimes I think I have more in common with the moon and the stars than Polite Society,” a deep, baritone voice said from behind her, as if the man had heard her thoughts.
Charlotte managed not to flinch. She was unused to anyone seeking her company in dark places.
“Yes, I was brought up amongst the ton, yet it is not often comfortable,” she replied, still looking at the night sky.
“That is the last word I would use for it,” he said as he came to stand next to her. He was so close she felt warmth radiating from him and smelt his scent of spice and pine. She was afraid to turn and look. She did not wish to ruin the moment with reality, yet the arm of his coat appeared to be well made, and his hands appeared to be strong.
They stood there in silent kinship, listening to the sounds of laughter and dancing coming from the ballroom.
“Would you care to dance?”
Charlotte did not answer. This man must be someone new in Town, someone who knew not who she was, or could not see her clearly in the moonlight. What did it matter? It was only a dance. One dance would change nothing.
She held her hand out to him and finally allowed herself to look up.
“Have we been introduced?” she asked, annoyed at her inanity. She had never before seen this man, of that she was certain.
His light grey eyes twinkled in the moonlight, and they were looking at her—her!—flirtatiously. Crinkles formed at the edges of his eyes, indicating an experience and maturity that made him more handsome when he smiled. It was devilish cruel that men became more striking with age.
“You know very well we have not,” he answered.
He pulled her close—too close—and began to twirl her around. The moment was too intimate for mere words. Charlotte felt light and dainty for the first time ever as this man spun her in his arms. She must be dreaming. It was a heady, delicious feeling as her pulse raced and her insides quivered.
When the music ceased, they stood there still, retaining the position of the dance as their breathing slowed. Charlotte grew self-conscious as the man studied her.
“Am I to know your name?” she whispered.
He took her hand and brought it to his lips, sending shivers through her.
“Some things are better left unspoken, my lady.”

“I loved everything about this story. Every woman needs to meet a man who wants her just the way she is. Despite the struggles and self doubt, despite the familial opposition, despite the outside forces and ever present danger from sinister forces – our dear couple finally triumphs.”
“Elizabeth Johns writes lovely, intricate Regency tales filled with angst, longing, tragedy and triumph. She does not pander with superfluous and gratuitous sex scenes. Yet her stories are romantic and satisfying. I highly recommend this series and all of Johns’ books if you want to be transported and escape this time period to the land of happily ever after. I cannot wait for the next one!”

Author Elizabeth Johns
National bestselling author Elizabeth Johns was first an avid reader, though she was a reluctant convert. It was Jane Austen’s clever wit and unique turn of phrase that hooked Johns when she was “forced” to read Pride and Prejudice for a school assignment. She began writing when she ran out of her favorite author’s books and decided to try her hand at crafting a Regency romance novel. Her journey into publishing began with the release of Surrender the Past, book one of the Loring-Abbott Series. Johns makes no pretensions to Austen’s wit but hopes readers will perhaps laugh and find some enjoyment in her writing.
Johns attributes much of her inspiration to her mother, a retired English teacher. During their last summer together, Johns would sit on the porch swing and read her stories to her mother, who encouraged her to continue writing. Busy with multiple careers, including a professional job in the medical field, author and mother of small children, Johns squeezes in time for reading whenever possible.
