Mini Basket - Base
Rnd 1) Form a magic ring, ch 1; 10 sc in ring; sl st to beginning sc; (10 sc)
Rnd 2) Ch 1; sc in ea st around; sl st to beginning sc; (20 sc)
Rnd 3) Ch 1; *2 sc; 1 sc; *repeat around; sl st to beginning sc; (30 sc)
Rnd 4) Ch 1; *2 sc; 1 sc; 1 sc; *repeat around; sl st to beginning sc; (40 sc)
Rnd 5) Ch 1; bpsc in ea st around; sl st to beginning st; (40 st)
Rnd 6-12) Ch 1; *sc in ea st around; sl st to beginning sc; (40 sc)
Rnd 13) Ch 1; sl st in ea st around; sl st to beginning st; (40 st)
Handle- row 1) Ch 20, attach to opposite side with sc (19 st away from beginning ch); hdc in same st;

Owl
Additional Materials for Owl:
2 flower brads for eyes
Orange yarn
Worsted weight yarn - additional color (mine is light pink)
Yarn needle
Make base as noted above in color of your choice. (Mine is pink)
Eyes: Make 2
Rnd 1) Using 2nd color, form a magic ring; ch 1; 5 sc in ring; sl st to beginning sc; (5 sc)
Rnd 2) Ch 1; 2 sc in ea sc around; sl st to beginning sc; (10 sc)
Rnd 3) Ch 1; (sc, ch 1, dc); hdc; sl st to next st; fasten off but leave long tails to attach to base.
Beak:
Row 1) Using orange yarn, ch 4; sc in 2nd ch from hook; sc; sc; fasten off; weave in ends;
Bow: Make 2
Row 1) Using 2nd color, ch 40; fasten off; weave in ends;
Assembly:
Tie one bow to ea side of handle.
Attach 1 flower brad to ea eye, bending tabs to backside of eyes.
Using hook, attach eyes to top of basket, centering between bases of handle. Pull tails through inside of basket, tie in knot and weave in and out.
Center beak between eyes, using yarn needle and orange yarn, sew in place.
Flower and Butterfly
Additional Materials for Flower and Butterfly:
2 Seed Beads or small enough beads that will stay on pipe cleaner ends
2 Beads or buttons
Black pipe cleaner - 2”
Glue
Thread
Sewing needle
Worsted weight yarn - 2 additional colors (Mine is dark & light pink)
Make base as noted above in color of your choice. (Mine is purple)
Handle Bows: - Make 2 - one in ea additional color
Row 1) Ch 50; fasten off; weave in ends;
Flowers - make 2
Rnd 1) Form a magic ring; ch 1; (sc, ch 3) 5 times; sl st to beginning sc; fasten off; weave in ends;
Butterfly:
Rnd 1) Form a magic ring; ch 1; (sc, ch 3) 6 times; sl st to beginning sc; fasten off; weave in ends;
Assembly:
Cross the two handle wraps to one side of handle base, using sewing needle, and thread, sew on one bead or button in center of crossed ends.
Crisscross handle wraps around handle to opposite side and cross the ends, sew on one bead or button to the center of these crossed ends.
Bend pipe cleaner around center of butterfly, gather center close together and twist pipe cleaner at top of one side; glue a seed bead to tip of ea end of pipe cleaner.
Using yarn needle and matching butterfly yarn, sew in center of basket between the two handles.
Using yarn needle and same color yarn as flowers sew one on each side of butterfly.
Bunny
Additional Materials for Bunny:
Pink Felt
Blue Felt
Glue
White Felt
Additional Abbreviations:
Dec - Decrease
Sk - Skip
Bunny Ears:
Row 1) Ch 13, sk 1st ch, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across in ea ch; turn;
Row 2-3) Ch 1 (this counts as 1st st); sk 1st st,; sc across in ea sc; turn; (12 sc)
Row 4- 5) Ch 1 (this counts as 1st st); sk 1st st; (sc) 5 times; turn; (6 sc)
Row 6) Ch 1 (this counts as 1st st); sk 1st st; (sc) 3 times; dec sc; turn; (5 sc)
Row 7-8) Ch 1 (this counts as 1st st); sk 1st st; (sc) 4 times; turn; (4 sc)
Row 9) Ch 1; sc in 1st st; (sc) 2 times; dec sc; turn; (4 sc)
Row 10) Ch 1; sc in ea st across; turn (4 sc)
Row 11) Ch 1; dec sc; dec sc; fasten off; weave in ends; (2 sc)
Attach to other side of row 3;
Repeat rows 4-11
Assembly:
Cut two circles in white felt (about size of quarter); Cut two circles in black blue felt (about size of nickel); glue blue felt in bottom part of white and allow to dry; Glue white eyes at top of basket position below the ears between the handles;
Cut triangle out of pink felt and glue in center below eyes and allow to dry. Make two small pompoms and glue or sew below eyes and sides of nose.
Frog
Additional Materials for Frog:
Black Felt
Black yarn or embroidery floss
Glue
Sewing needle or yarn needle
White Felt
Make base as noted above in color of your choice. (Mine is green)
Frog Eyes: Make 2
Rnd 1) Using same color, form a magic ring; ch 1; 5 sc in ring; sl st to beginning sc; (5 sc)
Rnd 2) Ch 1; 2 sc in ea sc around; sl st to beginning sc; fasten off; weave in ends; (10 sc)
Assembly:
Cut two black felt circles; glue inside center of Frog eye. Cut two small white ovals; glue bottom right of black felt and allow to dry. Using yarn needle and base colored yarn, sew eyes at top of basket centered between the handles.
Using yarn needle & black yarn (or sewing needle & black embroidery floss), sew a smile at the bottom of basket, centered between the handles. Dip your needle into glue and brush between black yarn and basket, to help hold smile in place. Clean glue off of needle for future use.
